Since 1980, we’ve lost over 95% of our seagrass meadows.

That equates to 2 football fields each hour.

This rate of loss is equal to that of coral reefs and rainforests, yet seagrass receives little attention.

Project Seagrass are calling on all water users to help in locating the remaining seagrass meadows which exist across the globe. Paddle boarders have a unique perspective on shallow coastal habitats which puts you in an ideal position to help protect our remaining seagrass. Maybe you will discover a perviously unknown stronghold of this vital species.
